Metal Gear Solid - Rex, Ray, and the Floating Spinning items

4). The entire is optional. You can create it as a whole or as separate mods that still work if used together.

 

=== Rotating, floating items ===

 

The days of Metal Gear solid. What interested me the Most was two models of Metal Gear series, and the fact that items scattered about were always hovering off the floor, spinning around. Its a neat concept.

 

Here is the idea.

 

What if there is a Mod that causes any Weapon, and by a small chance, a healing item or ammo to drop from foes you kill?

 

Say for example a Raider coming up to you, just wants to put you down for the fact that he/she just saw ya and does not like you, "and" Just happens to be sporting a fine piece of Hardware. Same routine is the guy who down's his foe, reaps the Rewards~ However upon defeating your foe, Her/his weapon falls out of her hands but bounces a bit in a peculiar manner. Whats more it spins in place while hovering close to the ground. Approaching it and looking directly at it brings up its name in text, Informing you of the name of the weapon. Instead of the usual habit of Pressing the Action button [Or P.T.A.B.] to Acquire something, You notice walking over it immediately adds it to your inventory. Healing items are immediately used if your injured, and are stored away if your perfectly healthy. Ammunition as well immediately get's added to your backpack when walked over it.

 

Course this only applies to enemies that have been slain, that will cause these items, armors, weapons and such to behave in this manner. Or for peculiar items in interesting or cleverly hidden spots.

 

Another feature, which is entirely optional, is Color coded Condition. The deeper red it is, the more worn it is. The Deeper Green it is, the better Condition it is on. Observing the Items name will be color coded depending on its Condition. As well another optional feature is to inform what kind of ammo it uses.

 

One more is that if it is modded, It will have a Star brandished by its name. A Military Medal next to its name indicates its unique~

 

Of course it will act in a familiar manner if you have too much of one thing already, or have a full backpack. It will shake violently and make beeping sounds as though denying being picked up. To continue standing over said object will only result in endless violent shaking and beeping till you walk away from it. From there is will calmly float there, rotating in place.

 

===Metal Gear Rex===

 

The Lore behind the Metal Gear Rex. A Towering Walking Mobile. It is unique for unlike most Stationary Nuclear facilities, The Rex is a Mobile Nuclear Missile Launcher. Can fire its payload from any spot, to anywhere and cause mass Nuclear destruction. Not only does it have a Impressive Armor chassis but a Impressive Array of Defensive Weaponry for the trouble maker who dares disturbs the operator and its Sweet ride from accomplishing its mission.

 

The Rex would be a Ground only, Mobile Mech. But what it lacks in Speed, Mobility and incapable of crossing bodies of water is its immunity to Radiation, and surprising array of Self-defense weaponry. And its Trade mark Nuclear missiles, With the ability to fire them.

 

A Note about the Rex is that its weak points is that it is unable to traverse Water, As it has been stated. If it falls or sinks into water. It'll disable itself for a day. You will get a message later informing it has turned itself on, flushed its system of water and has returned to its initial place of origin.

 

Plus the Rex will NOT fire its Nuclear pay load unless operated from the Cockpit or from remote control. This is to prevent Fallout from becoming Mega-fallout. Or Planet Radiation.

 

And as stated, if you enter a high, steep place, It will be incapable of following sometimes. It is unable to jump due to its heavy armor and array of weapons. (Unless I'm unaware of any history that it can jump.) Regardless, depending on its configuration. It'll wait till you go somewhere else it "can" catch up with you and follow you around. Warp to you, Or you manually warp it to you. (Trust me, the high ground would give you a advantage. Getting it down safely is another problem: Fall damage.)

 

The Metal Gears, however, are Upgraded and outfitted to be ridden, Or switch to Companion mode for following around.

 

The Rex comes with the standard, high-grade gear its outfitted with:

 

Gatling Gun: This is its standard means of attack. It will often attempt to use this against groups of enemies. It will use it either way by default against even a single enemy.

 

Missile Launcher: Its the standard model, So do not worry. The Missile Launcher fires a array of Missiles to assail enemies from a distance, Both human and any form of Robot, machinery and such.

 

Nuclear Missile Launcher: It's trademark feature. with the Use of a Remote control device. Or from taking control of it from the Cockpit, will allow you deploy Nuclear Missiles from any range, regardless of how far. However. It comes stocked with 2 N. Missiles. It takes a day for it to reload more. (debatable)

 

Mortar: Its mean's of attacking foes that are too fast for it and behind any obstruct or Cover. It will do this to finish off injured enemies trying to run away. It will use this immediately if any targets take cover behind obstructs and constructs. It will fire grenades into the air that will descend unto foes with almost Pinpoint accuracy. Either to Seriously damage them, or flush them out.

 

The Rex is a perfect Metal Gear on the ground for Ground Assaults. Its perfect for holding a position, and destroying any form of threat that has colonized any size of civilization. Course with is horrible mobility. It would take a agile Character-- Or mech, to bring it down. Otherwise, from a distance or at a reasonable close distance, This Metal Gear would wipe the floor with their heads.

 

Which brings us to--

 

===Metal Gear Ray===

 

High-tech, Compact, And More mobile then its brother. The Ray was a amazing example of Cutting Edge technology. The Ray may not have a Array of impressive weaponry or Nuclear weaponry, The Ray is outfitted for Underwater combat and movement. It can even walk fine once unto land. Making it versatile.

 

The Ray shines more in its ability to move more Quickly then the Rex. It has a Lighter chassis then the Rex, Making it less heavy. This allows it to move quicker, to be more Agile and Dextrous. This shines perfectly when the Ray has entered any body of Water. Especially if it is deep, Causing its mobility and speed and excel. Turning the Ray into a Giant Underwater mechanical shark.

 

The Ray was designed for Land and Water combat. But its outshining ability is that its a Anti-Metal Gear. Regardless of the Rex's Structure, This makes the Ray the quicker and most defensive Metal Gear.

 

Its Most interesting trademark is its ability to Draw large amounts of water from around the Ray, And pump it into its maw. When it opens its maw, It fires a VERY powerful, high pressured Water cannon. Allowing it to tear right through Metal easily, Making the Ray deadly against the Rex and any form of Mech and robot alike. Course, no surprise it would tear any organism to pieces.

 

Its lighter and more high-tech build allows it to get to places the Rex cant normally climb, and to swim underwater.

 

The Ray comes with its standard, Trademark features:

 

Missile Launcher: The Ray comes with this built in to deal with anyone attempting to attack the Ray. Though it uses it against organisms and Mechs alike.

 

High-Pressure Water cannon: Its Trademark Feature. It will ONLY work when its at least touching water. It has a high damage output and a surprising long range. It takes a while to start up as it needs to pump water up. The High-pressure cannon can be used at random if the Ray feels it cannot deal with any threats with its missile launcher's, And will attempt to approach a body of water while continuing to fire at foes till it fills itself up with water.

 

Powerful Jaws: Though the Maw conceals the cannon, the Maws will hurt, it will not refrain from hunching over to get a bite if the enemy too close is causing too much a ruckus.

 

Stomp and Tail whip: The Rex can Stomp though, But at the absence of a tail and its slow movement rarely allows it to stomp anyone or anything before they can get away. The Ray is quick and agile enough that it will use its feet and Reasonably long tail to swing and stomp at its foes.

 

The Ray also can be controlled and ridden from its cockpit, Or will switch to Companion mode for convenience.

 

Seeing the Ray has lesser offensive firepower and lighter armor chassis, Makes it susceptible to concentrated fire and high explosives. The beauty behind its mobility is where it comes in. It will always choose the tactic of refraining of standing in one place while retaliating. The Ray will excel if it can attack its foes while in a body of water. Even in the Water it will stay on the move while countering with Rockets. It will most likely use its High-pressured Water cannon if against a strong foe, or multiple injured fleeing foes if the fight just happens to take place near bodies of water. So expect your enemies/pursuers/etc to constantly fire into the water in hopes of hitting it, While the Ray viciously goes rampart in the water like a Free-spirited Chinese Komodo dragon having the day of its life. Rushing through the water and making occasional jumps out of the water, and then right back in.

 

The Ray however is not immune to radiation. But alike all robots and mechs, it can withstand a balanced, reasonable amount of Radiation.

 

Course the Ray is susceptible to being Land locked without any bodies of water, Making its cannon unusable if the situation calls for it.

 

As well as any form of High-grade explosive or piercing round that can penetrate its light chassis.
