bben46
If we knew exactly what mod you are trying, we may be able to give more specific help. Not every mod will show in the list in the game - ONLY those with an esp part. Many mods change things like texture (think of it as a new paint job on a existing object) or Meshes ( the shape of an object) - These are installed directly to the \data\meshes and \data\textures folders and do not need to be activated as they replace things that already exist in the game. In the case of something like a custom sword, you may not even notice the difference between the vanilla (original) and the replacement unless you look closely. As there is nothing in the game that tells you it has been replaced. Many mods also require that you do something in the game to acquire or find the modded items. Check the readme as they usually tell you where or how to get them. Also, some mods require something else to be installed - either another mod or SKSE - again look at the readme. And for SKSE you MUST read the instructions that are downloaded in the zip file or it will not work.
