Aranas23
Like most of you, I began playing Skyrim in first person. When I first started playing I assumed this was the way Bethesda intended it to be played, but just recently I downloaded an awesome armor mod. My thought was, "What is the point of downloading badass armor if it's stuck behind the camera most of the time?" So I began playing in third person, and noticed a few odd glitches in the walking animations. The first thing I noticed was that when you walk forward, and strafe to the left or right, the animation seems sudden and jerky. Almost as if a few frames were missing. I also noticed that this "jerky problem" doesn't happen when my player character is over-encumbered. The strafing animation was fluid and I could see my PC slowly change direction, as I've seen on the xbox version. What is causing this problem? Why is the animation so jerking when I'm not not over-encumbered? Another immersion breaking animation glitch happens when I am walking up stairs. One of the first things I noticed when walking in third person is when the player character is walking up a hill or elevation, it will cause a stepping up animation. I thought this was pretty cool. It was one of the minor things that bothered me about Oblivion. Only this animation doesn't happen correctly when climbing stairs. The PC will step up on the first step, and go back to the normal walking animation for all of the rest. I know this might be nit picking, but immersion is a big thing in a game like Skyrim, and glitched animations break it for me. I know these animations should work, but I haven't a clue what's causing them to act weirdly. Edited May 16, 2012 by Aranas23
