CrouchJ10
Here is a video I took of the problem: http://youtu.be/2l8wZ79_ZagNotice that the shadows randomly appear and this is unlike the flickering glitch that I see everywhere else when I google this. Also, the screen doesn't move smoothly/fluidly...or is that how it is suppose to be?Any help to improve my experience? Here are the specs of my computer: Lenovo T510 Windows 7 / 4GB Ram / 64-Bit Intel Core i7 CPU / M 620 @ 2.67HGz Nvidia NVS 3100M Here are the more in-depth specs: http://i.imgur.com/dXvwi.pngUpon further inspection, it appears to me that my graphics card does meet the minimum requirements for Skyrim. According to this, I should be able to run it at medium settings: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:System_Requirements
VileTouch
try reducing the settings to the minimum...for what i see your computer is not able to cope with so much load...oh and playing games on a laptop that is not specifically a "gaming laptop" really reduces it's life spectation. and once it's gone..it's gone. there's no parts to replace. so at least try the game on a desktop and see if you have better performance
myrmaad
Actually the Steam thread you posted has the answer in it I believe. I don't have an Nvidia card but you have to go into your Nvidia control panel settings and change the settings there. You should also update your Nvidia drivers NOW. ASAP. Look at this: http://microcentertechsupport.blogspot.com/2011/02/adjusting-aaaf-settings-with-nvidia.html

To the poster above, I tried the settings all on LOW and had the same experience.
CrouchJ10
I updated the graphics driver and the settings per the link, Myrmaad. Unfortunately, this changed nothing with the shadow problem!
myrmaad
I updated the graphics driver and the settings per the link, Myrmaad. Unfortunately, this changed nothing with the shadow problem! That link only addressed changing the setting for Anti-Aliasing (AA) which will smoothen the jaggies and look nicer ingame. However you still have to look for the setting for Anisotropic Filtering (AF). Look for that setting and try overriding for quality if that's a choice. You're just going to have to experiment with it. See how that goes. The setting for it is in this screen shot: http://2.bp.blogspot.com/__3bnHqr5jYE/TVKk0FxM3LI/AAAAAAAAARA/WFjcl9VD0PE/s1600/graphics4.gif See where it says "Texture filtering - Anisotropic ..
