AidenWatson
Experienced everything as the titled said. This is really my last hope to stabilize this game because whatever fix or help there is out there I have gotten it and tweaked the game with it as instructed. I've gotten ENBoost, made a nvse_config file and placed in the Memory patches and even tried the error log but understood nothing of it. As for mod sides, from New Vegas Anti-Crash which I don't even know if it does anything at this point, Anti-Stutter, and OneTweak. The mod list I have doesn't even come near 100 mods, standing at only 65 mods with the majority being small texture mods with the biggest I know being the NMC's medium one. Then Armor mods are the most plentiful. The earlier said problems happens every 10 minutes, I haven't gotten a single peaceful bit of playtime. I've spent more time trying to fix the game rather than doing anything else in it. I remember running it in the past with hundreds of mods with nothing but two little mods to help with the usual crashes but was hoping someone out there knows that some of the mods in my load order either conflicts or just has problems. dubiousintent
Do you have Win10 and "New Vegas Stutter Remover" (NVSR) installed? If so, please see the 'Issue: CTD after 10-20 minutes of play (post-Win10 2017 FCU)' and 'Issue: CTD without warning, "Out of Memory error", or stops responding after the Main Menu' entries in the 'Solutions to "Crash To Desktop" (CTD) problems' section in the wiki "Fallout NV Mod Conflict Troubleshooting" guide. Also, please see the 'Common Game Problems' section of the wiki "FNV General Mod Use Advice" article. -Dubious-
AidenWatson
Thank you very much for the response, and the problem with NVSR sounds exactly like my problem, as I haven't had any problems with Out of Memory or crashing after the main menu entires.I do have a pretty decent computer that can more than easily handle New Vegas with ultra settings and even heavy texture mods, so I'll try it out a for a few hours with it disabled, and re-enable it again with the fix said in the Troubleshooting page if stuttering does become a problem. Thank you so much for the response.
dubiousintent
Just a word of caution. The game itself was released in 2010, for both the XBox and PC. There were design decisions made then that limit what it can do. It's a 32-bit game, which means the OS only allocates 2GB for it's use by default regardless of how much system RAM you have. The use of a 4GB Patch is essential. A modern machine makes use of multi-threading and multiple CPU cores that the game ignores. Your machine can actually be "too good" for the game and needs to be "throttled back". Don't assume a given problem can't be your hardware. Please see the wiki "FNV General Mod Use Advice" article about the difference between FNV and other games you may be familiar with. Things like the 4GB Patch are linked and explained there. -Dubious-
