marioneo1 Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 (edited) Whenever I load the CK and check the head of npcs they have this discolored forehead... -------------------------------------------------- Edit:Nvm I found a work around for it. However the default hairstyles are still misplaced in the actor's head. As shown in the image Edited May 17, 2012 by marioneo1
3XXII Posted June 6, 2012 Posted June 6, 2012 The forehead discoloring is one I've had before, it is because of the femaleuppereyesocket.dds from a mod you've installed for better face textures. So just delete that file in your data/textures/actors/character/character assets/tintmasks folder and it should return it to normal. Or you could try renaming the tintmask folder while you edit your npcs and then change it back after and see if that works. Hope this helped.

I had a look for this file because several NPC's have this discoloured forehead, however i could not find any file by this name. Is there another cause and solution for this? My discoloured foreheads appear in game
Drax8 Posted October 5, 2012 Posted October 5, 2012 I what I do to fix this is in the CK, under the Character Gen Parts tab, click on the femaleuppereyesocket.dds in the middle drop down menu, then in the box to the right where the color options are switch it to "color average". Save, and you are good to go. Fixes it every time.
Kheldarath Posted October 6, 2012 Posted October 6, 2012 HEy awesome thanks for that it does seem to help. However is there a more batch-orientated way to do this or will i have to do it for every female character individually that has the issue?
Drax8 Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 @Kheldarath I don't know if there is a more batch-oriented way to do it or not, sorry. I've had to do it individually for each character that had the problem. If anyone has a better way, I'd love to hear it.
cormell Posted November 17, 2012 Posted November 17, 2012 Yep, femaleuppereyesocket.dds in Character Gen Tab of CK. Spent days on that stupid issue. Another related issue is head and body color mismatch. I think it is associated with Apachii hair. All you have to do is to remember to update the character you are changing in CK by hitting CTL-F4. CK will tell you that the facegen data has been saved.
NeoswordX Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 To solve this Problem you have to find the "femaleuppereyesocket.dds" Data (\Skyrim\Data\textures\actors\character\character assets\tintmasks) and Edit it with Gimp (I also use it) 1. Make the Alpha Cannel away2. The size of that picture should have 256x2563. Export as dds without Compression and Creating Mipmaps (it musnt be Gimp but i didnt tried anithig else)
NeoswordX Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 Maybe you have too confirm the affected characters with Ctrl+F4 after this.
