MDRud216
people forget about the fellowship cause it dose not have an epic battle like the other two, but it was probobly the most suspensful orf all of them with the Nazgul and such. The only reason that one did not win any awards was because it was new, if it had been more well known then it for shure would have won more things. Now the case with the Return of the king. The story was told, everyone now understood the plot and they thought, wow what a great movie, thinking of all of them together.
Iluventi
Yes, a great night at the Oscars! LOTR:ROTK won all 11 nominations, tying that many oscars with Titanic and Ben Hur. For all of us geeks, It was a truly great night in Hollywood. ^_^ And it (/the whole movie series) deserved every single one of the awards. Absolutely amazing... Well done PJ, the Cast, Crew and everyone else working on the LotR movies.
ohGr
Obviously this comes from one who hasn't bothered to read Tolkien, as you previously stated, ohGr! Aside from the fact that the films you prefer had actual real-life resources to draw from-if you're gunning for a flame war, you're outnumbered and outgunned here, methinks. Anyone ever heard an Orc horn, or an Elven battlecry? Examples are limitless... Perhaps "Cat In The Hat" would suit your fancy... :whistling: actually i have watched the movies, but between the wars, phew, i caught up on some lost sleep there!. the sound was alright, but from what im used to (call of duty, dolby surround, sound all the way up, start a bloody riot)
