Browser problem?

This started to happen a few days ago. I have the site bookmarked, whenever I click on the bookmark in Firefox 90% of the time I get this:

Secure Connection Failed

An error occurred during a connection to www.nexusmods.com. SSL received a record that exceeded the maximum permissible length. Error code: SSL_ERROR_RX_RECORD_TOO_LONG

The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.

There's a bit more but that's the main jist of it, something about malicious sites. I know it isn't but I ran a virus check but nothing. If I keep trying however I eventually get through although it takes a bit longer than it should, and once I'm "in" there doesn't seem to be a problem browsing mods or anything. Hasn't happened on any other site so far.

It's a conflict between Firefox and some anti-virus programs, mainly Avast and AVG. I had this happen to me today so I did some research on it this morning (well, I guess it's yesterday now). For now, Mozilla is recommending that we disable HTTPS scanning in Avast/AVG (instructions here).

A representative of Avast has said they're going to roll out an update in a day or two (he said within 24 hours and as of now that was 12 hours ago) so you may just want to wait for that instead.
