Casanovious
We don’t need a whole new mod for this but any modder that modifies prices of items may want to consider that until the last century or so, diamonds were traditionally less valuable than colored gems like rubies and sapphires. The idea that diamonds are rarer than other precious gems is wrong. Compared to rubies and sapphires, diamonds are fairly common. Their perceived value is based on marketing in modern times (and market cornering). Also, a lot of gems considered only semi-precious today were traditionally considered precious (high valued) including amethyst, opals and even pearls. It’d be nice if Skyrim values reflected the older pecking order of those values. Likewise, while I don’t know if platinum is valued in Skyrim, I know that it was considered almost worthless. In the 1700’s, platinum was sometimes called “bastard silver" because sometimes people would find it hoping they found silver, only to be disappointed later.
