Hello everyone, i am fairly new to the site but i hang around for some time till i found me some crew to join me in modding and yea i plan on making some big mod, it will have it all, quests, armors, weapons, new npc's etc...

But i am still a newbie and if anyone can tell me what tools i need to make armor and weapons, for quests i know that's not a big problem (characters too). So if someone could please help me out with this, or maybe even join the project is most welcome, if anyone wants just PM me.

Thnx bros!

yeah, sorry but it is crazy unlikely there is an experienced modder out there with nothing to make just dying to help someone who has no idea what he is doing. Prepare your google-foo and look up some youtube tutorials. They will have everything you need to get started making custom armor and weapons.

If you're looking to make custom assets, then great! It's awesome fun.

It's also often frustrating as you learn. I recommend beginning with Texturing. Get yourself a copy of GIMP or Photoshop and the corresponding .dds plugin, a .BSA extractor so you can poke around in skyrim's files (I personally use fallout mod manager), and Nifskope.

Then do some tutorials to get comfortable with texturing, Nifskope (intimidating, but actually makes sense if you can read enough before getting bored), and the Creation Kit.

A great place to start is the Graphic Artistry class over at TESA's modding school: http://tesalliance.org/forums/index.php?/forum/118-graphic-artistry/

Get comfortable with the tools, and that'll give you a good idea of what kind of mod you can make. And remember, have fun!
