dave_man
I am having a problem using mGen. First I create a terrain file in terragen, import to mGen, and try to export to .esp, but every time I get an error when I try to export. Does anybody know if I am using the program incorrectly or does it even work? If I am using it incorrectly, what can I do to make it work? Any help is greatly appreciated. Serrieth
Well I'm not sure but try asking the people who made ES constrution set. Don't know their email but try looking for them they will help out a lot more than I can ;)
k_fishburne
It crashed on my XP machine whenever I try to create the ESM/ESP. Maybe it was designed for Windows 98/ME, I don't know. I hear it's no longer in development and that its author can't be contacted. Let me know if you find him because I need a source code snippet, thanks. dave_man
It seems you answered the question. When you said that it crashed on your XP Machine I realized that running it in compatitbility mode might fix that problem. I tried it and it worked for me! Abramul
Having tried compatability mode, this problem still occured for me. Does anyone know of a better fix, or a better program? I'm trying to convert a .TER (Terragen) into a .ESP
Morgoth
Although it's been some time that I last used this tool, I think I can remember that you have to export all .esp files into the mGen directory or it won't work at all (and if I remember correctly, I did get error messages when I tried to export to other directories). Maybe that will help, if you are already exporting to the mGen directory, I don't have a real idea what could be wrong.
Abramul
That doesn't help, since I used the default directory. Could someone who is familiar with Terragenic landscape creation/conversion PLEASE help? Cancel that, fixed it. For some reason, I needed to put the .TER in the mGen directory too, even though it loaded fine without it.
