mGen

I am having a problem using mGen. First I create a terrain file in terragen, import to mGen, and try to export to .esp, but every time I get an error when I try to export. Does anybody know if I am using the program incorrectly or does it even work? If I am using it incorrectly, what can I do to make it work? Any help is greatly appreciated.

It crashed on my XP machine whenever I try to create the ESM/ESP. Maybe it was designed for Windows 98/ME, I don't know. I hear it's no longer in development and that its author can't be contacted. Let me know if you find him because I need a source code snippet, thanks.

Although it's been some time that I last used this tool, I think I can remember that you have to export all .esp files into the mGen directory or it won't work at all (and if I remember correctly, I did get error messages when I tried to export to other directories). Maybe that will help, if you are already exporting to the mGen directory, I don't have a real idea what could be wrong.

That doesn't help, since I used the default directory. Could someone who is familiar with Terragenic landscape creation/conversion PLEASE help?

Cancel that, fixed it. For some reason, I needed to put the .TER in the mGen directory too, even though it loaded fine without it.
