Missiledude777
I cannot figure out why Loot cannot sense the mods I downloaded through XMM, I uninstalled Loot and XMM once, redownload them and copy paste my existing mods to XMM, but am unable to use the mods. What can I do to fix this problem?
Algabar
Looks like your mods aren't installed properly. The fact, that there are no mod categories shown, also points in that direction. What mod manager did you use before (if any)? And how exactly did you "copy and paste"? Normally, you would have to INSTALL mods. If you didn't download your mods using NMM, you would have to manually install them from the zipped file (either by using "install mod from file" or simple drag and drop into the "mods" tab. Missiledude777
I used NMM as usual, just made a copy of all the mods as backup, I loaded the game today, and the save file, except the game says these mods are required etc. I loaded up Loot and it has the same pic as u see here. XMM has the same mods but with the categories. I clear the mods and copy my backup directly onto XMM and clicked install. Still doesn't work... Did I f up bad or is this still save-able? Missiledude777
I copy the mod files to create a backup, and paste it to another mod folder save seprate on the desktop, I paste said folder into the games/skyrim special edition folder.

I'm not sure I really understand what you did. How could you "copy a backup directly into XMM"? I copy the mod files to create a backup, and paste it to another mod folder save seprate on the desktop, I paste said folder into the games/skyrim special edition folder. That's basically a "manual install". You could get the game to work this way, but NMM won't treat the mods as installed - in fact, it didn't install them. Unfortunately, this probably means you have to remove these files, if you ever want a really "clean" install. In general, messing around with folders of mod managers is a very bad idea. Sorry to say that, but you may have borked your installation now. There's one thing you can try: If the mods tab in NMM still looks like in the first picture (mods checked, but without categories) you can try, what happens, if you uninstall and the reinstall a mod.If this works, you can go through your mod list and repeate this for every mod. Time consuming, I know. But still faster than starting absolutely from scratch and downloading your mods again.
