Brutii
The year is 2120, humanity has developed technology on all fronts, medical advancements have created cures for neumerous diseases. Special medical tools which stop bleeding in seconds, providing the wounds is not to big, such as Medical Bio-foam. Of course, humans have also made advances in the field that is so natural to humans. War. Now with giant walkers and flying fortresses, most people are afraid of soldiers. North Korea, backed by russia and china, marched into south korea, the situation between the US and the newly revived Soviet Russia and china resulted in war. America nuked Pyongyang, capital of north korea, as a warning for them to back off. They then told the russians and the chinese that is what they would do to moscow and bejing unless they made north korea pull out. North korea launched missiles at Seoul, killing many innocent people. Russia fired a nuclear missile at an american fleet that was off the coast of korea, sinking it and killing all onboard. As Russia, america and china prepared their missiles, the UN and NATO stepped in. They pleaded with all the countries, who backed down, realises what they had almost done. The leaders of Russia and america agreed to the UN's terms, and also resigned. China accepted some of the UN's terms. America, russia and china disassembled 75% of their neuclear weapons, using newly discovered methods. People in the countries thought the un and nato had been harsh, and so, as a sign of good faith, both groups had their countries disassemble 50% of their neuclear weapons as well. Prehapes the biggest advancement has been in robotics and computors. Robots are now a fairly common sight, ranging from utility bots to security bots, they are quite common. They follow the three laws of robotics, the lower the number the higher it is, effectivly meaning 1 supersedes 2, and 2 supersedes 3: 1: A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.2: A robot must obey the orders given to it by human beings, except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.3: A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Laws. However, if a robot is unaware that it's action could lead to the injury or death of a human, they would carry it out, for instance, being told to add something to someones food, the robot is unaware that it is poison, and thus, carries out the task. There is another law of robotics, though only a few, select robots have it:0: A robot may not harm humanity, or, by inaction, allow humanity to come to harm.As this is numbered Zero, this means it supersedes the others, it takes some time of thinking, but this means that the robot may injure a human as long as that action benefits humanity. There fore, this is often programmed into robots that serve in the law enforcement department. Often the laws of robotics are joked about, especially amoung goverment officials who know of the existance of combat robots, in jokes such as:1: A robot will not harm authorized Government personnel but will terminate intruders with extreme prejudice.2: A robot will obey the orders of authorized personnel except where such orders conflict with the Third Law.3: A robot will guard its own existence with lethal antipersonnel weaponry, because a robot is bloody expensive. Robots have modals and types. The types refer to their specific tasks, like a utility bot, the types are:Utility: These robots are mostly made for deminial tasks, such as cleaningPersonal assistance: These assist humans in day to day activities by doing things like cooking, washing up and making the bedsSecurity: These are programed with the zeroth law, allowing the to harm intruders should the intruder refuse to surrender. They are also programed, however, to do everything in their power to ensure that, while they stop intruders, the intruder does not come to any permenant or long lasting harm.Law enforcement: These are programed with the zeroth law, allowing the to harm Law breakers should they refuse to surrender. They are also programed, however, to do everything in their power to ensure that, while they arrest anyone who breaks the law, the law breaker does not come to any permenant or long lasting harm.Combat (CLASSIFIED): Only a few in their research devisions or high up in respected positions know these actually exist. Though they are still prototypes, they are programmed with the laws of robotics, though they have been slightly altered:1: A robot may not injure an ally or, through inaction, allow a comrade to come to harm.2: A robot must obey the orders given to it by allies, and must obey orders given by a higher ranking comrade over a lower ranking one3: The robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Laws. The modals of robot are:H&M (Herbet and Moon) utility bot. This bot has had 5 operating updates so far, it's not very intelligent, being able only to formulate short sentences, usually to report on what it is doing. It resembles a small 1'6 cube which moves around the building, vacuming up dirt and dusting. All it really does is clean.L&co (Langdon and co) Utility bot. This bot has had 8 operating updates thus far, it's not too intelligent, but is able to formulate sentences and hold short conversations. It resembles a 5' maid who moves around the building, cleaning. Some argue that it should be classed as a personal assistance bot, because it is able to perform several tasks which are usually performed by a personal assistance bot, such as laying the table, bringing items that may have been left at home and washing up. AS-1 (Artificial Sentience) Personal assistance bot (Outdated) formally Produced by UNRP (United Nations Robotics Production) These are out dated bots, most of which have already had their chips taken out, been reprogramed and inserted into a more recent modal. 98% of them have already been melted and reprogramed. Some people have kept their AS-1, however. It is able to perform a range of tasks such as laying the table, bringing items that may have been left at home, washing up, making sandwhiches and several other things.AS-2 (Artificial Sentience 2) personal assistance bot (Outdated) formally Produced by UNRP (United Nations Robotics Production) These are out dated bots, though only a few have been recycled as of yet. It is able to perform a range of tasks such as laying the table, bringing items that may have been left at home, washing up, making sandwhiches and many other things.AS-3 (Artificial Sentience 3) Personal assistance bot Produced by UNRP (United Nations Robotics Production) The most recent bot in the AS series, able to perform almost any tasks to help around the house hold. HH-1 (Helping hand) Personal assistance bot (Outdated) formally produced by Herbet and Moon. These are out dated bots, quite a few have already had their chips taken out, been reprogramed and inserted into a more recent modal. Some people have kept their HH-1, however. It is able to perform a range of tasks such as laying the table, bringing items that may have been left at home, washing up, making sandwhiches and several other things. HH-2 (Helping hand 2) Personal assistance bot Produced by Herbet and Moon. It is able to perform a range of tasks such as laying the table, bringing items that may have been left at home, washing up, making sandwhiches and several other things. LM-1 (Los Muertos (The dead)) Security bot (Outdated) Formally produced by Displace security international. Basic security bot, allows footage to be recorded and can be programmed in hand to hand combat. Being scrapped.LM-2 (Los muertos 2 (The dead)) Security bot (Outdated) formally produced by Displace security international. Security bot, allows footage to be recorded and can be programmed in hand to hand combat and has a built in stun gun. Being scrapped.LM-3 (Los muertos 2 (The dead)) Security bot produced by Displace security international. It is very effective, it has thermal vision built in as an alternate mode, allowing it to seek out intruders. Allows footage to be recorded and can be programmed in hand to hand combat It also has a built in stun gun and hand cuffs. LEB-1 (Law enforcement Bot) Law enforcement bot (Outdated) formally produced by UNRP (United Nations Robotics Production) This bot can be programmed in hand to hand combat and has a built in stun gun. Being scrapped.LEB-2 (Law enforcement Bot) Law enforcement bot produced by UNRP (United Nations Robotics Production) It is very effective, it has thermal vision built in as an alternate mode, allowing it to seek out criminals. It also has built in facial recognition technology, allowing it to identify known criminals, but only if they get a good angle for long enough. Allows footage to be recorded and can be programmed in hand to hand combat It also has a built in stun gun and hand cuffs. MCB (Military combat bot) Combat bot produced by the USR (United states robotics company) This bot is programed in deadly hand to hand combat and is deadly accurate, it also has built in thermal and night vision. Every soldier uses moving drones to improve their accuracy, but what if the drone was faster, stronger, smarter... and you were the targetAQCB (All quatres combat bot) Combat bot produced by the UNRP (United nation robotics production) This bot is programed in deadly hand to hand combat and is deadly accurate with weapons. AI:Huge advancements may have lead to robots which can think for themselves, but they have no creativity, they are, as the name suggests, robots. The AI is the real cutting edge technology. Supremely intelligent, they cost millions upon billions to make. There are three grades of AI:Grade one: A grade one AI is the 'simplest', sometimes known as 'dumb' AI's, very misleading, considering even the least intelligent grade one AI is as intelligent as the smartest human. They are often used in national monumants, tourist attractions or, more rarely, museams to provide people with information. Usually with an IQ equivilant of 200-300Grade two: More intelligent than a grade one, the grade two AI is used in many locations, usually military bases or facilities. They are very intelligent, usually with an IQ equivilant of 400-500, but even they look stupid compared to a grade threeGrade three: These are super intelligent. Only used by the richest countries in their most important areas or by giant international corperations. With an IQ equivilant of 600-800, they are often known to get bored with lower priority jobs. Only eleven of these were made, and only ten are officially acknowledged as being in existance. The first one went rouge in one picosecond and killed almost everyone in the facility. The facility was destroyed. Because of this incident, the later grade three AI's were assigned specially designed Morality cores, making them have a sense of right and wrong. The cores are attached to their mainframe. AI have been known to have a service rail, allowing them to move around a facility, and some have been known to use terminals or other robots to communicate. Should someone remove their PTC (Portable Transit Card) and put it into a robot, the AI will control that robot, or if put into a computer, can make use of that computer, while keeping a signal with their mainframe to ensure that the cores remain giving them personality. They have several cores, the cores that the grade three have are: Morality Core: This has a purple eye. This core is designed to give the AI morals. While the AI has morals, it can still ignore them http://images1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20091113164321/half-life/en/images/thumb/c/ce/Glados_core_1.jpg/130px-Glados_core_1.jpgCuriosity Core: This has an orange eye. This core gives the AI it's curiosity in things http://images4.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20091113164322/half-life/en/images/thumb/1/17/Glados_core_2.jpg/130px-Glados_core_2.jpgIntelligence Core: This has a light blue eye. This core provides extra intelligence for the AI, also acting as a second mind, helping the AI cover more possiblities in estimations. http://images1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20091113164322/half-life/en/images/thumb/6/6e/Glados_core_3.jpg/130px-Glados_core_3.jpgAnger Core: This has a red eye. This core stimulates anger in the AI http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20091113164322/half-life/en/images/thumb/3/3b/Glados_core_4.jpg/130px-Glados_core_4.jpgIntelligence Dampening Core: This has a blue eye. Whenever the AI even thinks thoughts about harming humans, the intelligence dampening core kicks into action, deliberatly giving the AI moronic ideas to throw off any concentraction they could have on plotting harming a humanhttp://images1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20110501231535/half-life/en/images/thumb/8/81/Wheatley_model.jpg/140px-Wheatley_model.jpgAdventure Core: This has a green eye. Sev was first assigned to a simple naval base because his curiosity made him unfit. Plans to scrap his curiosity core were put into effect, though were cancelled once his curiosity managed to stop a spy. Sev has been through many different owners, including both the US and russians, he currently resides in a UNRP facility used to create and test new technologies, including the UN's military robot.Personality: Curious, smart and intelligent.
