Can't click on vustom weapon when dropped in the render window.

I'm very new to modding so it be my ignorance. Also I am using GECK for fallout.So I tried making a somewhat hybrid weapon by adding ammo to power fist.

After saving I my new item I drag it in the render window but the instant it gets in I can't click on it at all.

When you drag an object into the "render window", you're placing it into the "worldspace" at that location. You can use the "render controls" to move it around, but not actually "grasp" it as it doesn't exist as an "object" until actually displayed in the game.
