pawzseven
Hello folks, wonder if you can jog my memory a bit. I have just installed Oblivion on my Windows Seven 64bit machine, having been away from the game for about three years, and I THOUGHT I had all the original mods that I used tucked away somewhere - but can't find them, so need to get them again, and the mod manager, and a couple of other files that were necessary or useful. All I can remember is that one was called something like OOO and I recall Obscuro as being part of the title. Can you help please? Ah, think I have found Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul ( thank you Google), but would appreciate any guidance if there are updates or other aspects have changed in three years. pawzseven
some mods have seen updates, some didnt. i suggest u try and find out on your own, as we dont know what other mods you have :) at present I don't have any mods installed. It was more about what I need to do initially that I was concerned - something about archive invalidation for instance - is that still necessary?. I have changed to the x86 computer, still Windows Seven, and have just the base game running and with no problems, but I do want to add the more natural faces mod via OBMM. As you say, I shall just sort it out for myself. Thanks for your input.
bben46
found these: http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/mods/searchresults/? If you used OBMM when you played before, and if you didn't delete it completely, It will have not only the entire list of all mods active for each save, but the load order as well. OBMM handles archive invalidation, you don't need a separate one. Many new mods were added in the last 3 years, and BOSS for sorting has come a long way. Some of your original mods may have been removed by the author, but most will probably still be available.

I haven't played Oblivion since I had it on XP, so no saved list on OBMM, but I do have all the original zipped mods. However, you are tempting me to go and download some more, and try BOSS, which I am not familiar with. I am suprised and delighted that folk are still modding for Oblivion - I thought they would all have moved on to other things. Until Skyrim comes down a bit in price I shall content myself getting re-acqainted with Oblivion, and trying out some new mods as well. I haven't put OOO on yet ( I think I need to start a fresh game for that), but I assume that and the unofficial patch - if it is still available are compatible with W7 - and I have yet to install SI and the Knights - but it is all a voyage of discovery. Thank you :)
