defry
Recently, Zenimax studios released information about their upcoming Elder Scrolls Online game (ESO). The information was met with mixed reviews about the quality of the game and how much it differs from Bethesda's open world, single-player games. Late last year however a couple mod makers released the first alpha version of Skyrim Online, a mod that allowed players to see other players who were online. The other players were displayed as naked prisoners with outstretched arms. Unfortunately, that was about it for the content. For months people waited to see if progress would be made, but it seemed that the project was at a stand still. Recently though Skyrim Online was updated with animation and armor syncing which allows for players to see others actually move like real skyrim characters and trades in the nude prisoner outfit for whatever they are wherein in their own game. Even so, Skryim Online still has a ways to go before it develops into a full featured mod. You can find more information at the links below http://www.skyrim-online.com/http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/news/article.php?id=125 http://elderscrollsonline.com/http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/news/article.php?id=113# Not much information is available on ESO at the moment so this article may seem biased toward skyrim online, which it is.
biggestkid
Would definitly like to see Skyrim online developed way more than ESO. There is so many MMORPG's out there that i think ESO would just become another duplicate off the factory conveyor belt, the only difference being that it is set in the ES universe. But co-op Skyrim on the other hand, that sounds freaking awesome! I would love to be able to run around with a mate doing the quests in Skyrim, and then when that got boring, start playing mods together. This mod would add so much more replayability to skyrim in my opinion. I definitly think the developers should limit it to something like a max of 4 people on one server though, because i just dont think huge amounts of PC's in Skyrim would be very fun, 1-4 people like in Borderlands or L4D would be awesome though. David Brasher
Things would be kind of a mess if there were 1000 heroes stomping around in Skyrim at one time. Nothing would have a chance to respawn, and there would be no enemies to fight and no treasure to find. I can imagine it turning into a big player-killing nightmare. Maybe the guards would need to be essential, the townspeople respawning, and console codes disabled.
biggestkid
Id only play it with one another mate(if thats possible in Skyrim online) so i wouldnt really have to worry about all that. Like i said i think itd work better as just a small coop or online mod, not an mmo.
