Lootable perk points

It would be awesome to be able to loot an item that gives you a free perk point. I've always wanted to reduce the amount of perks per level to half, 0.2 or even 0 and only gain perk points from adventuring, looting them from high level enemies such as dragon priests or having then randomly appear on dragon corpses, in boss chests, secret places, etc. To me that would be more rewarding than finding almost any item, as long as the rarity could be balanced well enough.

Thanks for reading!

My mod Perkapalooza works like this. Thereâs a lot of other stuff with it, like expansions of the perk trees, but one of the core themes of the mod is that you need to kill bandits, draugr, and dragons to get enough perk points to keep up with the leveling potential. Hereâs the link:

If thatâs more than what you were looking for, I can dig up the script I used to make perk point potions for you or someone else whoâs interested.

Alright, the mod is almost in testing stage but the skeleton has been implemented.

So here's what it does

  • New custom textured book called Perks of an Adventurer
  • Gain perk point when reading the book
  • Book is removed from the inventory after being opened
  • Book has a 1% chance to spawn in any Boss Chest throughout skyrim (this may be slight overkill, you guys let me know)

TODO:

  • Disable level-up perk points

What I Want To Add(different options):

  • every time you level up you are given a key to a dungeon which houses a boss that needs to be killed to gain a perk point, this is mainly because the mod would kill the purpose of leveling up except for stats which you probably have enchants for anyways.
  • On level up, obtain an item which must be infused by dragon scales and bones to create a Tome of Knowledge. This tome will then be traded to Hermaeus Mora in return for a perk point.

I personally like the second option let me know which one sounds better.
