Loading a save file like a plugin?

OK i have a BIG question that may sound noob. I was told by one of my friends that i could load my saved game onto the TESCS. i've looked and looked and cant find anyway to do this. Is it even possable? if so how?

You will need to rename your saved game. (Make a backup first)

 

 

example:

 

MySavedGame.ess

 

renamed:

 

MySavedGame.esp

 

Once renamed, your saved game should have changed to the red folding knife icon. Now move it to your Data files folder. You should now be able to load it into the CS.

ok i think i already tried that... everytime i loaded it, it crashed TES. any other suggestions? anyone else have any luck? is there an updated version of TES? maybe i dont have the updated version

I'd recommend Morrowind Enchanted Editor for this situation, as it was recommended for me when I first did the ESM conversion for Suran Reborn -- this little app was the only way I could transfer the references from one file to another and proved extremely valuable in keeping the mod clean after that, as it allowed you to view and edit cell entry subrecords. One of the uses considered when making the program was editing savegames, so it offers the ability to view and edit the deadcounts for charachters and also does other things specific to that cause.

so i dont get it. you load your save file with the construction set... so your character is at the location where you saved or something? are all your items you placed anywhere still there?
