Mods randomly stopped working correctly. Why is this?

I've had the bijin warmaidens and males of Skyrim mods installed for quite some time now, but out of nowhere it just randomly doesn't work right anymore. The weird thing about it is that both of them will change certain NPCs' appearances like it's supposed to such as Ria and Vilkas; but then others such as Aela and Farkas ended up going back to their vanilla appearances. The thing that frustrates me the most is that it was working perfectly for a while before this happened. I'm still kind of new to modding and pc gaming as a whole so if anyone can be of help I would greatly appreciate it.
