Riley1534
I have installed NMC Textures and I am still getting the vanilla textures in game even though I have tried all methods including the invalid invalidation thing. Not sure what to do now so if anyone could help that would be awesome!
GrindedStone
The textures must be extracted with Winrar. You have to edit each of the .rar names so that the download numbers at the end are removed. You have to extract from the first .rar which automaticly extracts all the .rar these have to be inside the data folder, such as data/textures. Archive invalidation invalidated must be applied with New Vegas Mod Manager/ Fallout Mod Manager/ Skyrim Mod Manager which is all built into FOMM, this is the old manager. The new manager is the Nexus Mod Manager which does the same thing only also allowing Nexus website features. The text config files located in documents/my games/ also must have a 1 set for archive invalidation, though both mod managers do this automaticly as well as create a .BSA in the data folder named ArchiveInvalidationInvalidated. The easy way for you to check the setting would be to use the New Vegas configurator available on Nexus which is also available for skyrim an FO3. They did not come with any.
GrindedStone
use the configurator to check if invalidation is set or not.
luthienanarion
According to reports from users, the AI function for FNV in NXMM does not work. Use something else to apply it.
Riley1534
Ok so I redownloaded and it had the numbers. GrindedStone
Okay use FOMM then it's old but works for FO3, FNV, an Skyrim. It's located Here Use it to toggle invalidation off if it's applied, then apply it to turn it on.

GrindedStone
You don't have to use it to start the game, just apply AI, you also need .NET framework from microsoft in order to use it I think. It should auto detect the install location if it doesn't then you can set it manually. You can run into problems if steam is installed in program files. This varies from one computer to another. People with the issue can adjust security settings to fix it, but there are so many it's kind of advanced. So many folks install steam outside of program files, thus installing fallout outside of program files. I downloaded the Archive InvalidInvalidation program but that doesn't work either all though I once again get the mod name at the menu but normal in game textures.
