Question about modmanager

Recommended Posts

So the other day i opened the DAMM folder and in the "mods" subfolder i found another folder titled override. So my question is this: if i place mods in that folder will it function the same as if i had placed them in the "real" folder?

Thanks in advance

I don't think so I think that's for actual "override" files which are different to mods, zips etc. I may be wrong but I don't think so :)

if you put zipped or compressed files into the mods folder they will show up in the manager. put overrides in the override file and then open the manager and see what happens

Hope that explains everything

naomis is correct. The two folders underneath DAMM itself ("\mods\dazip", and "\mods\override") are where it needs to find mods of those two specific types so that it can deal with them. DAMM, and its associated sub-folders, can be anywhere at all on your computer and work just fine.

The folder "\[user's documents]\Bioware\Dragon Age\packages\core\override" is completely seperate. (And if you're using DAMM, it's where most mods that DAMM can't handle belong! )

Side note: I only know of two ".override" mods; NBaio; and Equal Love, although there are probably more.

Yes hun, there's also

Gatekisses

IRS - Alistair

Adonnay's Weapon Replacer

Zevring Plus

Hsli Sexy Robes

Hsli Revenant Armor

and a couple more dialogue overrides that should be used if all else fails lol.

DAMM is a great tool for most mods, but for those that it doesn't recognise there is also DAModder (which can be temperamental for no reason) or the override file itself.

DAUpdater is a great little tool that comes with the game but that too can act up when you least expect it.

Its all trial and error and you'll get there eventually. :)
