floating hand bug

been having an issue were my characters hand seems to float below the gun in third person, this also applies to pistols however i haven't yet tried out any vanilla weapons.


the mods I'm running which may affect animations include (in this load order):

its not essential that i fix this as i primarily play in first person however it can be a bit irritating. a similar bug occurs when the weapon is holstered where 1 hand sticks out further from my character than the other

If you have more than one mod that makes any change to the same record or set of records in the vanilla game, then you really need to use a "Merge Patch File" with that collection of mods. Please see the 'Third Rule: The Rule of One' and 'Merge Patch File' sections of the wiki "FNV General Mod Use Advice" article.

tried playing around with wyre flash with no luck, followed the guide but the characters hand is still in the wrong position. even tried installing an alternate skeleton mod and on hand still just seems to be in the wrong position at all times. is there a value that determines hand position in any of the mods in my load order? i believe enhanced camera used to so im considering trying out an older version of it to see if i can resolve my issue that way.

As far as I know, this problem is alignment between the weapon mesh and the animation for 2handed rifle "kf" file. The hand is positioned for a weapon with a "thicker" forearm grip (perhaps a "service rifle" with a grenade launcher under the barrel like an M203). Suggest you identify which mod the weapon is from (see 'Issue: Find the source mod-index of an object in-game' entry in the wiki "Fallout NV Mod Conflict Troubleshooting" guide) and then check the comments on that mod's Nexus page. Likely it had it's own animation file which overwrote the vanilla one if it used the same name as the existing file.
