Weird Project Nevada "Expand Tool" Visual Bug

Hi guys,

I've been having this weird bug that's only started happening after I installed project nevada. I have no idea how to describe it but the best I can do is that it's like someone took the expand tool from photoshop and plopped it on my crosshair at all times. I took a couple screenshots for more clarification. (Can't screenshot my whole screen because the steam overlay crashes my game)

Before I installed PN, I saved inside Midea's house (Tale of Two Wastelands) to then go onto the Arena quest part of the Pitt. It was only after I left her house and listen to Ashur's speech that this happens. I've tried reloading the save, same thing happens. Waiting doesn't make it go away. Playing for awhile, still nope. The only thing that makes it subside is going into bullet time. Disabling the bullet time feature before leaving Midea's house and therefore, encountering the bug, does not work either.

I do run another "big" mod called Solid Project, though the only thing I've found on posts or the mod page that conflicts with PN is the sprint feature. I should also state that NMM does never seem to work for me, some error almost always occurs with mod installations, so almost every mod I have installed is installed manually. If you recognize mods for Fallout 3, such as Find Ingots; they're not the Fallout 3 mod .esps, they're the converted FO3 mods that are on the TTW website. If it helps, here's my load order.

Thanks.

I also have MTUI, UIO, FOV Slider and the 47 ENB if any of those could also contribute to the problem.

Please make sure you have the TTW-PN and TTW-PN-Extra Options patches. You also need to use a "Merge Patch File" with that collection of mods. Please see the 'Third Rule: The Rule of One', 'Merge Patch File', and 'Common Game Problems' sections of the wiki "FNV General Mod Use Advice" article.

Questions regarding issues with TTW are best directed to their Support Forum first.

Suggest you try with the "Steam Overlay" disabled and running in "offline mode". It's a complication you don't need when trying to troubleshoot problems.

As I understand your description it appears to be a problem with either the FOV or the crosshairs. Either way it falls under the general category of HUD-UI-Menu problems, especially in light of some of the mods you indicate. Please see the wiki "HUD-UI-Menu issues" article.

Yeah, I have the TTW patches. TTW isn't the problem, I think. Sorry, I should've been clearer, I was just providing context as to where I was in the story in case there was some trigger or the fact that you lose control of your character once Ashur starts talking.

I have the steam overlay turned off too.

Anyway, it seems like I've found the problem. It was the ENB I was using. When I remove the d3d9 files, the bug no longer appears.

UPDATE: After uninstalling 47 ENB and installing Rudy ENB to test if it was 47 ENB that was the problem, the bug no longer appears. 47 ENB was the problem even with it's TTW patch, though like I said TTW isn't the problem. The conflict was with Project Nevada and 47 ENB, it seems.

Thanks for your help Dubious!
