I ve the same problem.

I think i'v identyfied the problem: savegame are too heavy (46Ko and 231h played)

I began a new game and no freeze, no ctd.

But a don't wanna lose my main save x)

Damn i just realized that. When i save, it takes too long to save. And i just checked my save game is 2.5GB. So there's no way but to delete all the save game?

Have you tried this mod?

http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=4528

It's managed to fix an already bloated save game for at least one person that I know about, so it may work for you. At the very least, it'll ensure that any new saves don't grow so quickly.

So I tried all solutions in this topic but can't really find anything to work.

I tried looking for background processes that might be affecting the game but didn't really see anything.

This is soooo frustrating. Literally a 8-10 second pause every minute in the game =[....

Does it still grow if you disable all your mods? Some growth is expected in any open-world game just from how they operate, but it should be growing at a snail's pace under normal conditions. If it grows quickly, it's probably a mod's fault. If disabling all your mods (just for testing purposes) fixes it, then you'd need to find the offending mod and get rid of it.

OK guys, so this is what I have tried.

used 2 different save game debloatifiers but no change

disabled several graphics mods, no change

restored everything back to before the above 2 changes and then deleted lots of my old save games (i had about 100 total), no change, my latest save still paused every 1 or 2 minutes for a good 5-10 seconds.

Next I tried to load a really old save (with all mods that i was using with the latest save) and it worked fine!! Why? I don't know. But it did. I only tried it for about 10 minutes and didn't explore much but yeah, that seemed to have stopped the issue. But not solved it. First, I would have to start alllllllll over again basically since the save is right at the start almost. Next, there is no guarantee that this problem won't crop up again after playing for a while. Really not sure what to do about it. =[

You cannot do anything about it really... Its a huge game flaw... one thing i did, if you have a lot of quests selected in-game (to show them on your map) select only 1 quest at the time, hide other quest markers, that helped me for some time.

Also, Skyrim update 1.6 brings up "General stability and memory optimizations", we'll see if that has do to anything with savegames being too large and freezing the game.
