Getting mods to work

Okay, this is frustrating me. DAZIP files I'm having absolutely not trouble with but for the love of God I can't get overrides to work. Everything is in the override file. Nothing shows up in the manager but the DAZIPs and nothing takes effect in game. For example, I'm trying to get the More Hairstles, Pineapple's Colours and Improved Atmosphere to work in overrides. The only ones I have in DAZIP are the Morrigan Restoration thingy and the Lock Smashing one.

Ok, so your sub-title for this post says "not really a newbie", but it appears you might be when it comes to mods for Dragon Age.

Have you read this article (or are at least familiar with the information it contains?): http://wiki.tesnexus.com/index.php/Using_Dragon_Age_Mods_for_Dummies.

Only a relatively few mods (compared to the total number available) are packaged as ".dazip" files. Even fewer (maybe a dozen) are packaged ".override" files. And only ".dazip" files (when properly installed) appear in the "Installed Content" menu list at all.

Do you understand about the need to include references to the elements of all Character Creator (CC) appearance mods in a single "chargenmorphcfg.xml" file?

(Oh, and "Improved Atmosphere" is famous for not behaving well with other game-play mods, although appearance mods for the CC shouldn't be a problem.)

I am pretty much having the same problem. Previously I downloaded a ton of mods and they all worked. This time around I am using a downloaded version of the game and only the dazip files seem to work. I am following all the directions provided my the mod creators but...

If you have any luck let me know...
