NMM unable to load merged plugins

I just started using merge plugins to merge some of my mods to free up my load order

But for some reason when i create a merged file, i can add it to NMM but when I install the mod the plugin does not show up on the plugins tab

I also get the problem where on launching merge plugins it shows the wrong load order

How exactly do you "add it to NMM"? "Correct" way would be to create a zipped archive of the whole merge with 7zip, then install this in NMM via the "install mod from file" button or by simply dragging it into NMM's "mods" tab. At least for me this method always worked. If it doesn't, update NMM to the latest version (found on Github now):

You probably have to manually "prepare" your load order for Merge Plugins.

1. Go to C:\Users\[Your user name]\AppData\Local\Skyrim Special Edition. (Annotation: If C:\ isn't your system drive, replace "C:\" with the letter of your actual system drive)

The folder I'm talking about is hidden by default. To "see" it, you must enable "show hidden files" or something in the "options" tab of your Windwos Explorer. Unfortunately I can't tell you the exact commands, since I'm using a non-English version of Win 10...

2. Find "plugins.txt" and "loadorder.txt".

3. Open them with a text editor of your choyce (the standard Windows text editor will do).

4. At the beginning of "plugins.txt", copy

*Skyrim.esm

*Update.esm

*Dawnguard.esm

*HearthFires.esm

*Dragonborn.esm

5. At the beginning of "loadorder.txt", copy

Skyrim.esm

Update.esm

Dawnguard.esm

HearthFires.esm

Dragonborn.esm

(same as above, but without *)

Save the two files. This should fix the "wrong loadorder" problem. BTW, you will have to do this again every time you changed your load order in NMM and want to use "Merge Plugins" again.

BTW, maybe also have a look at this tutorial by "GamerPoets". It is somewhat dated, but it still appplies to the current version of Merge Plugins and Skyrim SE:

I know this is an old forum, But I followed gamer poets video but for whatever reason the merged plugin does not show up, like the plugins I have merged together merged flawlesslessly, no errors no nothing... but when I go to load into a game they dont load from the merged pluggin or something? I created a zip and dropped it into vortex and its there and its loaded up in both plugins and my load order but I am not sure what I am entirely doing wrong.
