AI doesn't work!

Hi all,

I have problem with AI packages in geck - none of them work. For example, I've added package to Sunny Smiles - very simple, indeed - just to travel to another cell (must complete - checked). Nope. I''ve checked her package list and found, that after powderganger quest she can never leave saloon. Deleted that package as well as another useless one (sleep). Will it work now? - nope. I've changed order of packages and placed newly created package above all - the same result. She comes out the saloon and stays at the door forever.

Then I've tried to send Easy Pete to another cell - nothing happens, again - Pete freezes as Sally was. I've tried different packages: eat, ambush, sleep. All the same. Then I've decided to check navmesh (may be new building is unaccessible), so I've sent Pete to the building, where he usually sleeps. Again, damn idiot freezes!

I have no more ideas. My packages are all the same, as originals (for example Sunny's tutorial travel package) . The only difference is schedule: I want dam thing to arrive home, for example at 18.00. But it doesn't work, even without schedule - just stays at saloon door.

Any advices?

Thanks

Carnatics,

Thanks for answer, but already tried that. The problem is, game seems to ignore my packages and they never work as they should. For example, I've added to Sunny 2 sandbox packages (on he top, of course): one - to spend time in prospector saloon from 10am to 6 pm (duration 8) and other - to spend rest time in some building (original one, with working navmesh). If you come to saloon, for example, at midday, Sunny is there and sandbox package works fine. The same happens, if you check home from 6pm - she is there. So, what's the problem? The problem is, you never can see how she TRAVELS from one location to another. If you watch her at 6 pm, outside saloon - she simply stands at the damn door. If you go to home after that and wait some time, she will come eventually, but still this is very lame.

The same with Easy Pete. He has very simple AI - just sits all day and around 11 pm goes home to sleep. You can follow him, watch how he enters home, lies down on the bed etc. I've tried to add very simple package to him - at 3 pm, for example, go to some marker, near gas station (with must complete flag). And guess what happens, at 3pm he stands up, makes several steps trying to go toward marker, turns back and stands there as an idiot. It seems, game somehow recognizes non original packages and almost totally ignores them.

I even made some little experiment - deactivated all mods, made a brand new esp from main esm and added new packages there. All the same. :( I don't know, what else could be done. I was planning to create a mod, which adds interactions to the game - NPCs visiting othe NPC's houses, talking to them, performing many interactions etc. But, while AI does not work precisely, it is impossible.

looks like you got hit by the pathfinding bug

try to make your esp to an esm...after that the a.i should work propper

and remember to give the game at least 72 hours for the pcb (purge cell buffer)

to make it a esm open it with the fomm

rightklick on your mod

in the drop down select open with tesnip

in the tesnip select "spell" and klick on "make esm" voila you are done ;)

but do this just for testing and make a backup copy from your esp

remember that you cant mod a esm !
