Here's one of my poems that is still going through the editing process but for the time being I feel content to let other people see it.

Guardian of Friendship

I lost you

despite your size.

Did you know I fell?

On a rock which was not supposed

to be there?

But you knew I would persist, right?

Of course not, you were

enjoying these games.

Leading me on through your

grove

taunting me with your

claws and Opalescent Wings and teeth.

Don’t laugh,

I’m bleeding because of you.

Don’t pretend ignorance

is like a shield

Because I stalked you to the edge of the grove.

But you had gone into that desert;

I recoiled from its familiarity.

And I rebuilt myself through her experience

only to have my heart eroded away

By the Sands of Love.

Amuse yourself

with the Guardian of Love.

Your name I will receive and journey

Deep into the grove, away from this border.

It was whispered in my ear

by a Dreamweaver.

I anchor myself in your

Essence.

Feel free to comment or ask questions about it. I'm more than happy to discuss it.

An excellent piece of work. Unfortunately, I can't look in depth to it for the moment, class is about to end. However, from simply reading it and my first impressions, it's quite good, despite not being what I'm really used to. Good job. :)
