Ign0tus
Coming from Fallout New Vegas, the lockpicks in Skyrim seem to be very weak. They are too fragile for my taste. This is a matter of opinion, so a mod could be created with multiple installations for different strengths. I just don't like how easily they break. I expect a master lock to be difficult and I expect to break a few picks, but they break too frequently for my personal taste. The other idea shouldn't be at all controversial. If the bug still exists, I would think it shouldn't be too difficult to correct, but I'm not a modder myself, so I don't know. Perhaps the bug has already been patched, again, I'm not sure. I'm new to the game. I only know what I read at http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Fortify_Lockpicking, and it states: Fortify Lockpicking seems to reduce the skill, not enhance it. I was looking at this because of the first issue that I'm having, which is the lockpicks breaking so easily. I thought I would enchant some equipment or use some potions, but if they are only going to reduce my skill, then I'm hosed. I read the notes at http://baldurdash.org/TESSkyrim/USKPFixList.html and I don't see a fix for it in the unofficial patch unless I missed it. Thanks for reading.
