LocknLoadJessie
I've recently got back into Fallout 4, and I'm currently running 151 mods, all running perfectly. One of the mods I'm using is Unlimited Companion Framework, which allows you to have a large amount of followers with you. As it is, I'm having nine followers, of which only Piper, Cait, and Curie are from the game itself. the rest are different companion mods. Insofar I've managed, through the magic of Showlooksmenu, to give each of my companions a unique look (facial structure, hair style and color). Here's my question: I've seen some very cool tattoo mods here on the Nexus. I have a set for my character, and another mod gave me a set for Cait, but I was wondering if it is possible to give my other companions different tattoo sets? The ones I've seen so far, apart the one for Cait, are all for the Player character, not for followers.
Algabar
Definitely possible. If you want to use Looksmenu, there are two options: Either you use a tattoo overlay mod for Looksmenu like this one:https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/25000It should work on followers, too, if you target them instead of your player character. The other - somewhat more complicated - way would be to turn the textures you already got into "Skin overrides" for Racemenu. Here's a guide:https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/31554 If you're looking for a simpler way, you could just install a mod like "Unique Player and Followers Redux":https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/26108Then you can copy the "tattooed" skins you got to the "textures" folder of any (female) follower you want. The same should work for custom followers. They usually have a tzextures folder of their own, which you cold overwrite with your textures.Beware: All this "unique body", "body framework" and whatnot mods only allow for changing the BODY texture. AFAIK, there's no mod (except for Looksmenu), that reliably works on face textures, too.
LocknLoadJessie
I tried the first option you mention, but it unfortunately over rides the custom tattoos I have for my main character. When I tried to apply the tattoos of the first option mod to a follower, it automatically applied them to my character as well. when I tried to revert back I got the dreaded "brown face" for ALL my characters. Fortunately I keep a backup of my Data folder, so everything went back the way it was. Back to square one, that is.
Algabar
Sorry. TBH, I always have (and had) something like "Unique player and followers redux" (or a similar mod) installed. Maybe that's why using the tattoo overlays only for my player character worked. Dind't think of that when posting my suggestions. The option with "unique player and followers redux" (regardless if you use Looksmenu or simply copy the skin textures over) should work anyway. The brown face bug can be caused by multiple things:- reloading multiple times in a row- the official "Highres DLC"- any HD face texture. TBH, I'm mostly using "Valkyr" face textures - and they work. I had trouble with "HD face textures" as well as with the Hd options of the FSM texture packs...
LocknLoadJessie
Thanks for your help/suggestions. Unfortunately, I realized that the mod you mentioned, and other ones I've tried, all overwrite the textures already installed by CBBE. This caused; a) the tattoos worn by my main character to disappear, and b) the blackface glitch. To correct this I simply used my backup Textures folder I keep on a separate drive. I wish Bethesda would have made the process easier to apply. I know there is a mod, which basically is the Harley Quinn costume from the DC movie, and when you put it on, or when given to a companion, it automatically applies makeup/tattoos. Oh well.
