Lagruej Posted July 9, 2018 Share Posted July 9, 2018 (edited) Hey everybody, I'm seeking some help with Nifskope and I'm way out of my league here. I normally have enough wits about me in Nifskope to do the most basic things. Now I'm faced with a problem that's beyond me. I recently downloaded some resources from the Oldrim nexus and converted them - they're fine in that sense. Basically I downloaded Texture and Meshes for some Cannons. After some tinkering about I managed to create an ACTI form in CK with it, using the scripts from the Catapault to have the Cannon become interactable and fire a projectile. This actually worked - but at fist it was shooting out the side of the cannon. I opened the cannon in nifskope, rotated the mesh - and then eventually figured out how to rotate the collision too - but now there's a new problem that is basically the same problem. The position of the node. I didn't make this mesh, obviously - but it only has 2 visible nodes on it. One is the BSFade Node, and the other is a NiNode which contains all shapes and textures.From what I can discern in-game - the "activator" places itself on the NiNode - but the projectile spawns on the BSFade Node which is literally on the ground - so if shot in game, the projectile detonates the moment it fires. The issue here is I want the projectile to come from higher up. Originally I tried adjusting the mesh and collision so the BSFade Node was in the mouth of the cannon - but this made the activation node mysteriously sensitive and nearly impossible to grab in-game, despite that node being stationary.... probably just wasn't the right away to go about it. Again, incredibly inexperienced and just dabbling through as best I can. I assume the main issue here is that the original mesh was just an asset - it was never created to be used for something like an ACTI, but I would like to update it with a new node or better position. I would like to know if somebody here could fix it for me, and then explain to me how they did it.
