What's causing CTD in my mod?

I'm working on my first house mod. Until yesterday, everything was working beautifully. Then after working on the house yesterday, suddenly every time I leave the cell I get a CTD. I can move in and out of other cells just fine, and I can enter the cell I'm working on without a problem, but every time I try to leave the cell, the game crashes.

I have tried going back to my last backup, and it still works fine. I'd really love to know what caused this sudden issue. Between the two versions, I made no changes to any cells other than the single cell of the house I'm working on. I'm pretty paranoid about watching for unintentional asterisks when I'm modding, as well as religiously checking the Details list for any unwanted additions. I've been mostly working on furnishing the house (adding statics, a few scripts & activators) and haven't touched the navmesh. Prior to the current version, I did alter the doors a bit and added a new load door to the external world. However, these changes were done in previous versions and prior to any problems (and still seem to work fine in the older version).

Is there any fix for the current mod or do I just scrap it and go back to the previous version? While it's frustrating to lose the work, I obviously want to have a functional, stable mod. Even if I need to go back to the earlier version, I would still really like to know if anyone has any ideas on what may have caused this problem so I can hopefully avoid it in the future.

I've not had many issues with CTD in my game. The only time I've really experienced it was after one of the patches came out and caused issues with a few of the mods I was running. However, those issues were resolved, and since then, my game has been stable and running smoothly, so the problem does seem specific to changes I made to my mod rather than a symptom of a larger issue in my game.

I never experienced any problems with my Nightingale Hall mod (and I've not received any reports that it's caused any CTD problems). Even the navmesh changes I made to it seem to work fine. I know that I've seen other mods that have had reported issues, but then seem to have resolved them, so I'm hoping someone knows the answer and it's not just a random quirk of the game.
