Lore Friendly-ish housing.

I'll just cut to the chase here, as I have a habit of giving 3 paragraphs of back story.

Right now there are really only four options for housing in New Vegas that I can find.

  1. A casino room (lucky 38 presidential, etc.)
  2. An underground bunker (Underground hideout, underwater house.)
  3. A house near goodsprings. (all others)

I'm bored with the casino rooms, as they are set up for sexy parties on the strip and what-not, and not for a gun-slinging adventurer.

Underground bunkers are too reminiscent of fallout 3. This is new vegas, where there are cowboy robots and gambling druggies, and now we're going to plop down a vault more or less.

80% of location-specific mods are in goodsprings.... goodsprings is lame.

I want a housing mod that is befitting the person who single-handedly solved every problem in the mojave. I want a sweet mansion to live in!

Right now, since summer started and there's no school, I am learning the geck. I plan to make a mansion-esque massive estate house thingy near either spring mt., blue paradise, or somewhere else. The house will probably be based on the jacobstown lodge, because I don't think a week or two of gecking will teach me how to actually make structures or anything.

I'm gonna put all the things that are standard in houses in it, such as a main interface, reactor, water purifier, and all that fun stuff. However, in keeping with lore houses, these things will need to be purchased. Along with this, I would like to add a quest to get the house operational, like in the goodsprings player home mod. This would send you on trips to turn on electricity, water, security, etc. I also think it would be cool to implement some mechanism that, after enabling several things, a sprinkler system would activate, and 3 days later the area surrounding the house would have grass.

so, what do you think of all this? Possible? Plausible? straight-up insane?

I think that, with time, I would be able to do most of this myself. However, I will most likely have major trouble with integrating this mod with others. When I possibly finish this, would anyone be willing to assist me with compatibility?
