sjohnson89
i always thought to improve that pitiful, weak, ugly ass default model we needed a completely new model from scratch. boy was i wrong i simply opened nifskope and increased thickness and width by 40% for every part. clipping wasnt problematic, i'm focused on third person gameplay and behind the shoulder things were looking okay. arms may need to be adjusted further. i also thought the collar-shoulder-cover-thing was the real problem. but it wasnt. the problem is THE f***ing GOD DAMN ARMS. elbow guards look awful and they stretch. lower-shoulder guards beneath the pauldrons float, look laughable and they are too thin. basically the entire model for arms is subpar. and the pauldrons look empty inside and it ruins the immersion, check the minigun firing img below. firing a minigun: https://pasteboard.co/HtZfztEe.bmpview from behind: https://pasteboard.co/HtZdYS8.bmpview from front: https://pasteboard.co/HtZf9Rg.bmpcomparison with an npc: https://pasteboard.co/HtZgFHJ.bmp the original apa from fo2 had a muscular look, like a body builder, basically lower-upper body was thinner compared to its upper part. open this img and zoom all the way and see for yourself http://photobucket.com/gallery/http://s810.photobucket.com/user/chiasaur11/media/Fallout2/Enclave18.jpg.html i dont know if this is doable without making a new model. but its not a big deal. i think current problems can be mitigated by modifying (or making a new model with in game assets) arm model and placing the collar lower. additional fixes may be required of course, i'm leaving that to pros. i also made a bulkier variant for captain ultimas tactics power armor and i'll be uploading it shortly. EDIT: i'll keep making edits as soon as i make new observations for example i was checking the fo2 picture and the collar is much bigger compared to rest of the armor. we can do that too but nifskope doesnt allow me to edit it without selecting the whole armor.yeah i think making the collar bigger can nullify most of the problems Edited July 11, 2018 by sjohnson89
