It would also be nice to have an Iron Helmet variant without horns. Not remove horned altogether just have horned and unhorned in the game. A bit more variety. :)

That's actually my goal today, seeing as I'm currently acquiring 3DS Max (legally, before anyone starts a hubbub) and thats what I want to do first. De-horn the Iron Helmet. :D

I would like this too. What I especially think is missing is a proper dane axe.

There are some sort of dane axes but for all of them the axe head is just way too huge.

This picture shows a good size comparison between the axe head, the shaft length/thickness, and a human.

And it needs to keep the classic forward leaning shape. Otherwise it's just not a dane axe.

And not too thick towards the blade, or too thin towards the handle.

The most elite norse warriors used the dane axe, and it's the very symbol of vikings. It really needs to be represented in the game. There are enough swords as it is already.

The thing is though about realistically thick weapons in Skyrim is that they actually give off the vibe of being too thin, and I've yet to see a middle ground that lets the weapon look like a real weapon (and not a block of steel pretending to be a sword, but also not a long piece of paper pretending to be a sword) without going overboard on either end.

Now that I'm getting into modelling though I'll be able to directly mess with it myself, and hopefully churn out something acceptable.

Great to hear. I sincerely hope you succeed.

I admit, I have also entertained the thought of seriously dabbling in 3D someday. Only, I feel it's a big step to make if serious about it.

I have done some extremely minor stuff in Blender and it's very intimidating but... great things could be achieved if mastered.
