nocthesis
For context I'm using OJO's overwriting NMC's, but I've tried a turning them off and they seem to stay. Has anyone been able to get rid of them, or at least make them less noticeable? To illustrate what I mean: https://imgur.com/a/harAgRL Edited July 13, 2018 by nocthesis
dubiousintent
Both OJo and NMC are "LOD" texture replacements. Like all other texture replacements, they overwrite vanilla files. Only if your mod manager is able and prepared (meaning you have the original vanilla files in a package or location it can use) to restore the vanilla LOD files will removing a mod cause the vanilla ones to be replaced. Otherwise you have to use "verify local files" to restore them, which will restore ALL vanilla files including other mods (not just texture replacements). Please see the "View While Distant/Level of Detail (VWD/LOD)" article for details on what is going on in the background. If you add or remove any VWD/LOD textures, please see the 'Checklist Item #15 & 16' entries in the wiki "Fallout NV Mod Conflict Troubleshooting" guide regarding the need to run both TES4LL and FNVLODGen. The LOD "quads" they build are independent files from the texture files them selves. Just removing the texture replacements doesn't replace the LOD textures built from them. Most likely your original problem with those mods is failure to rebuild the VWD/LOD files after installing the replacements. Suggest you try that first. -Dubious-
