Ryookaman
HeyI hope someone can help me. With and without mods Skyrim se overheats my computer so much I could probably boil an egg with it. I donât understand what is the problem and I e tried everything in my limited understanding to fix c this. No matter how low I put the settings it doesnât help. It didnât used to doing this. Computer stats:Lenovo 50-70Intel ® core i7-4710HQ CPU @ 2.5 GHzRAM: 16 gtWin 10 64-bitIntel hd graphics 4600GeForce gtx 860M - Iâve rebooted the computer, updated it and hardware manually- seedit master files- set all Skyrim setting to low - stopped unnecessary background programs- all mods are up to date- cleaned the computer inside out of dust etc. Helped a tiny bit- have an fan under the computer- tried to set skse and Skyrim exec files to run on GeForce- donât even know anymore- battery usage is on max performance- computer is set to work in best performance over looking pretty Skyrim itself sets the graphics to ultra which would be lovely.Edit/ and yeah mods are not working properly but thatâs the second part that the problem. I donât know what to do here anymore. Please send help. Edited July 14, 2018 by Ryookaman
williaal2
Time to replace I suspect. Old laptop, maybe look at taking it in for repairs to clean out dust, look at the thermal paste. By overheating are you talking about blue screen, and restart?

I would look at whether you can vacuum the insides, and look at the thermal paste.

Thank you for the suggestions, Iâll lookinto that. I think Iâll just stop gaming if it comes down to buying a new computer.
