iAmaNewb
I'm trying to create a small patch for Classic Fallout Weapons to remove some of the duplicate weapons so that I can use it with Weapons of the New Millenia. When I read up on how to do this, apparently I have to delete the weapon's use info in FNVEdit. The issue is that what I read said that I have to right click on the weapon to get the option to delete the use info but when I right click on the weapon I want gone, the use info option isn't there at all. Is there something I'm doing wrong? Edited July 15, 2018 by iAmaNewb
dubiousintent
Your image does not show the "View" tab pane, which is where the "use" info is found. Don't know what you have been reading, but the official guide is "FNVEdit Training Manual". -Dubious-
iAmaNewb
Ah, I see. Well the manual said that I should delete the reference of the weapon out of the mod, once I removed the reference, I delete the weapon ID as well. But when I try to open the game, the main menu never appears as if it's loading for a really long time.
dubiousintent
Sounds like you created a "Missing Master" situation: there are other records in the plugin you are editing which still depend upon the "master file" you have attempted to remove. You should only remove "master files" using the "Clean Masters" command. Please see the wiki "Missing Masters" article to see which "master" is missing. I suspect what you called "delete the weapon ID" is the culprit. Please see the 'GECK Form-ID, Base-ID, Ref-ID, and Editor-ID' section of the wiki "Getting started creating mods using GECK" article. You don't want to delete any "Base-ID" that is not added specifically by the plugin in question. Other plugins rely upon it. -Dubious-
