Ampharosify1
These instructions may be easy for someone that has done similar processes for other mods before but I find it a bit difficult to follow fully. 1. Extract the files to a temporary location.2. Examine the folder structure and make corrections where necessary.3. Copy files to Steam\steamapps\common\skyrim\data4. Three .esp files are included. Be sure to activate only ONE of these. Lets start with what could be the easiest fix. Could I just upload the file onto NMM and just untick the two other .esp files and then start a fresh game? If not, I have already extracted the files and do I just need to copy and paste it into my data folder and then untick the two other .esp files on NMM? Or do I need to do both or something I'm not understanding?
uk33
you can either download with NMM and go into data files on the launcher and untick 2 of the 3, of manually drop the files into your data folder and either put the esm you want in there too, or put all 3 in and uncheck 2 on the launcher. As long as the files are where they should be and only 1 esm is ticked in data files, it doesn't matter how you do it. You dont need to start a fresh game though, I never did when I d/l cloaks of Skyrim and mine works fine.

It just feels a bit loopy with so many options and you read instructions and start believing that's the only option.
uk33
Some people prefer using NMM, others would rather install mods manually. I tend to do both, the biggest advantage of NMM is if you decide you don't like it you can just uninstall it rather than go through all the folders manually removing files.
