hatlo0or
Hi,I'm gonna try to make this as short as possible. A couple of days ago I started a project called " Knights of The Light " which is suppose to bring a new faction and their city to Skyrim.the easy part was making the new items as in armors and weapons but I couldn't figure out for the life of me how to set a different texture to it !I know how to change the original texture but that's not what i want, I want my item to have an independent .DDS file, how can I make the item use the DDS I made? (script maybe ?)Thank you in advance & please forgive me if I wasn't clear enough English isn't my first language.
gasti89
You to extract the mesh for the item you copied, open with nifskope and change the texture path to your texture. Then change the name of the mesh, assign it to your new item and you'll have the texture attached to it. Or you can use texture sets http://www.creationkit.com/TextureSet
hatlo0or
I tried as hard as I could to make it work, it just wont find the .DDSAm I doing it wrong ?- I load the .nif into NifSkope.- Render > Setting > Add Folder.- Data/texture/weapons. Also I was wondering if you know a way to make the NPC's wear custom items instead of the stock on the list.Thank you again.
steve40
Use the TextureSet method, it is the more elegant way to do what you want to do. There's a tutorial in this forum somewhere.
