Matthw4
I downloaded the SKYUI mod and I was getting this error message that said I needed SKSE, but nothing appeared to be wrong with the mod. I added SKSE to get the message to go away, but it totally messed up the mod. I used the .exe on SKSE and it unpacked it an everything here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\skyrim Like I said, before everything worked fine except for the error message being there. Everything was organized and appeared normal. Then, all the fonts and organization disappeared. I have to hover over an item and look at the picture of what it is to actually find out. First, I did the manual download. Then I tried it with NMM. Neither of them fixed the problem. Edited May 25, 2012 by Matthw4

wootwoot55
Anybody? *one day later*I would try a clean install and install the SKSE first then skyui Also idk if you know this but when you first install skyrim you can copy and paste the contents of the skyrim root directory to another folder so if anything gets screwed up in the root directory you can just copy and paste over it with the backup and its like a clean install sorta. blacklamb9
Hey there poster. I believe you have to also launch Skyrim from the skse_loader.exe that is now in your skyrim folder ie. program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\skyrim What I do is make a shortcut of this file and place it on my desktop and then load the game from this every time. It's easy once you get used to it and totally removes that message. Peace
JesterKing
I use both SKSE and Skyui too. perhaps like previously mentioned installing it in the right order might be important. (SKSE 1st, then Skyui) Just in case some files weren't meant to be over ridden. also could it be a language problem? After all you said the fonts were gone. Do you need the same language of SKSE and Skyui? Most likely just install skse first then skyui. But one thing I should mention, SKSE wont work yet with 1.6 update. You know the beta update. bben46
First, be sure you have installed SKSE properly - it is not a mod and does not install like a mod. The readme included in the zipped file has that info. It MUST be in the same folder that you have the game exe file in or it will not be able to start the game when it runs. Then, you MUST always start the game with the SKSE launcher and NOT the game launcher. NMM has an SKSE launcher built in , or you can create a shortcut to the SKSE launcher and start the game that way.
