Maya -> Skyrim?

I'll keep it short.

 

It's been around three months since I last did anything related to Skyrim, so I'm wondering, has there been any progress with exporting models and animations from Maya and into Skyrim? Last I heard it was damn near impossible, and Max seems to be the only software that can be used.

Maya's nif plugin doesn't even support animations for FO3 (It's tested but not working for me) and Skyrim is a long way from FO3. Exporting meshes is questionable since the plugin hasn't been tested much. 3DS Max can be used because it has a Skyrim nif plugin that's stabile (I think) and Blender can be used also if you fiddle around with the mesh in NifSkope before importing.

Or you could export as an .obj from maya and import that into nifskope? Unless maya cant export as obj, which seems silly if it cant.

 

I was also wanting to add animations.

 

Meh.

 

Mind telling me where I could find a tutorial on importing .obj in NifSkope?
