heliosprotocol
I was having this problem too on Xbox 360. I found a solution: I unequipped and re-equipped all of my gear. then I equipped my bow, and took it out. when i activated the arcane enchanter again, it worked. still working with other things, and no more glitch
rayjames06
Did someone change they're ready/sheath key? If you did and have this problem switch it back to R. That key is basically bound together, ready/sheath and give/drop/craft. maybe this helps.
Malachite1024
Just a note that I am experiencing the same thing. I figured I would give some more details in case it helps anyone to identify a real fix. So far I have found no workaround. Scenario: Lots of mods. 66 total including the standard AP and SexLab related ones. All installed via NMM. Nothing from the Steam Workshop except DLC and official HiRes.Currently on save 291.Back in save 211 everything worked perfectly fine. At that time I was in the Frost Fruit Inn in Rorikstead.I had just started the A Night to Remember Quest. I was about to find and talk to the farmer about Sam and the staff.I walked around the nearby country side talking to random people and killing random things.IE getting the goat back and such. The timer went from 24.51.35 to 24.59.06 Not sure if that means 8 real minutes or 8 game hours.IIRC i never left the country side of skyrim during this time.I am pretty sure that there was some attempted rape scenes from SexLab Defeat during this time I have tried the mariad of usual items I see listed. Prison, shouting, close and reopen, load old game then load new. I uninstalled, loaded, and then reinstalled AP with no help. I uninstalled SexLab Defeat and the issue cleared. However after reinstalling the Defeat mod my save game returned to the issue. So it appears to be some combination of the data in my save interacting with the defeat mod. I will update further if I am able to determine any more. ============ UPDATE ============== Found a workaround for my scenario. I am sure that not all of this was required but I tried this on the first attempt and it worked: I deactivated defeat in NMM.Loaded my 291 save in Breezehome.Used tanning, workbench and grindstone in Breezehome.Entered Skyrim (Caused a CTD).Hit continue which happened to be skyrim right after I left breezehome above.Used workbench, tanning and grindstone at Warmaidens.Exited Whiterun main gate.Fast Traveled to Hunters cabin and used tanning and grindstone.Fast traveled to Whiterun and entered Breezehome.Saved a new savepoint 292.Reactivated defeat in NMM.Loaded my 292 save.Profit -- As of now I can use items again without having to go all the way way back to save 212 Edited February 15, 2014 by Malachite1024
QuazyMe
Wow...hopefully someone is still looking at this thread!! I'm having this problem!! I can't sit, ride a horse, or use any of the crafting stations. I've tried changing load orders, removing mods, a new game, and who knows what else. Majority of the mods I have - with the exception of 3 or 4 - when it started - were all being used before the problem started. This is the first time I've found a thread or any information on this problem - yet I'm not seeing any of the mods I have listed - and other actions that might negate the issue...hasn't. Any ideas would be beyond greatly appreciated!!!

Midwinter1888
Hi, I've found yet another possible cause and (hooray!) fix. Try fully dismissing any followers (and/or finishing quests that provide a temporary NPC follower). Don't just tell them to wait - send all companions home. I think what was happening, in my game at least, was that I was being pushed off grindstones etc by the AI running the follower animation to use whatever upgrading object I wanted to use. This is even if you tell them to stand far away or in another area. To be absolutly certain, I went back to a save before the bug started happening, dismissed all followers and then grabbed back the ones I wanted. The bug, so far, hasn't come back. A bit of a pain, but better than bug hunting through a couple of hundred mods. Hope this helps.
