Underwater Gameplay. Underwater Temples, Guilds, and Hideouts (Actuall

I have an idea for new dungeons and hideouts, etc. How about creating a dungeon underwater or a secret society underwater? For example, a guild of some sort at the bottom of Lake Geir in the Rift or in a trench in the Sea of Ghost? I think this would be an interesting idea as just about all of the dungeons in skyrim are on land.

 

Perhaps one could read a book in a fishermans hut or someplace that has to do with ships and it could start a quest to the dungeons? The dungeon could include completely submerged areas for gameplay to solve puzzles and battle enemies.

 

Is it also possible for an artifact to be created that lets you move underwater as you would on land? Maybe a quest could be made for that. The enemies that you fight underwater would also have this equipped as well, so they could move and attack you. The enemies could include Draugr, water trolls, and any other custom water themed monsters from other mods.

 

The secret society i mentioned earlier could be a secret Argonian society that steals from trade ships and sells the materials to others on the black market...maybe even to the Thieves Guild or The Dark Brotherhood? The entrance could be in an underwater cavern and inside the secret fortress could be a series of pathways that lead to various other lakes and rivers throughout Skyrim, perhaps even to the homeland of the Argonians: The Black Marsh? I know that someone on steamworkshop is actually working on a mod of the black marsh.

 

Underwater gameplay could add a whole new level of depth for Skyrim as well as different experiences. I am very new to Skyrim mods, i played skyrim on ps3 and then i saw the PC version and what it could do, so i switched. I am willing to contribute to this project, i am willing to learn how to mod myself, but i would like it if other could help me in this pursuit. This is a really good idea and i would love to see it come to life for everyone's enjoyment!!!!!

There is already a Waterbreathing enchantment.

 

The biggest obstacle stopping underwater mods is the lack of underwater combat. The only way to kill things underwater is to use one of the magical cloak spells I believe. Even without underwater combat though, you could add many more dwemer ruins, caves, chests, monsters, etc.
