Companions stay down when defeated until end of battle.

was looking for something like this, too. I'm so afraid of loosing Lydia that I don't use her or any other companion. I was thinking of having companions stay down and only come back up if they get healed by the player.

This part of the game is hardcoded and not really modable so it is not a simple request. I do not know if anyone would be able to find a workaround. Perhaps the followers could be set to not be "Protected" and to actually die in battle and then to automatically have "Resurrect 1" executed on them after the "GetInCombat" sort of condition was no longer detected? I really don't know how the triggers would be set without the continuous run Begin GameMode blocks available.
