I've worn myself out with the ck and was going to get into the modeling end of modding, so I dl'd blender 2.49b and following the guide from LHammonds I attempted to dl python 2.6.5.msi. When I started reading it said that it was replaced by 2.6.6, just wondering if this newer version is compatible with blender 2.49b. Thanks in advance! Edited by ProjectRender

2.6.6 is the Python version I'm using with Blender 2.49b. I got Blender from NifTools Blender page, not from TES Nexus but it's essentially the same. So to put it simply, Python 2.6.6 is compatible with Blender 2.49b.

@heavywaters I got nif scripts for Blender 2.49b working on Python 2.6.6 for both import and export so I honestly don't get what you mean by that. I've worked with Blender that way for 6 months now and I got no problems.

I thought I read that there was an issue with 2.6.6 and 2.49b though I may be confusing it with something else.

Wouldn't be the first time...
