steve63457
Hi I really want to start modding and i have read tutorials about it. Now i want to make my mod (a NPC character) but i don't seem able to save it. I give in the name and it seems everything is alright, but when i check the folder i have saved it in, it isn't there. Does anyone know how i can solve this? It holds me from modding and i would really like to make my own mods. I use the construction set. plz help

steve63457
get bak to me if it dnt. Best Reguards Darkninja Productions  hmm... didn't work, but now i get the reason why it doesn't work:(I tried to translate it in english as good as possible)Create file (data\steven\oblivion\data\test.esp) in CreateTES failed with error: system can't find the given path. continue playing? (Yes/No)When pressing yes, it says: Unable to complete operation due to failure removing previous file. Temp file remains. Continue playing? (Yes/No)When pressing yes this time it says: createTES failed for file Steve\oblivion\data\test.esp. Save aborted. Continue playing? (Yes/No) when pressing yes it just returns to the construction set, but no save game was created. When pressing no in either of the above situations results in shutting down the CS. If someone has a solution please tell me. I have found out another, longer way but it isn't very practical. I used an esp-file from another mod, cleared it from all its data, and called that 'blanco'. When I set this as the active file, I can manage to make a mod. But obviously this is not the intended way and so I would like to solve this problem. Thanks
darkninjaproductions
from what youve put in your last post i think you may have the foldered in the wrong place as it should save into C:Program Files\Bethed...Softworks\Oblivion\Data\ not in your mydocuments bit.if thats any help. Try uninstalling everything and using the default file paths. Reguards Darkninja Productions

Try uninstalling everything and using the default file paths. Reguards Darkninja Productions Its not in my documents but in the D drive. That's where i have installed Oblivion. And by the way, the construction set installed itself automatically in that file. I won't have to reinstall my whole game, do i?
