FastestDogInTheDistrict
I would like to experiment using different lighting mods in my Skyrim, however... I recently tried using the "Imaginator" and "Ultra-Realistic" lighting mods, did not like the results, and tried to uninstall - only to find, to my HORROR, that installation was NOT removing the effects! Not to worry, I thought. I'll just get some clean saves & all will be well, I thought. Nope. s***... Even clean saves from *another machine*, when loaded on my main machine, would immediately start displaying the godawful butchered lighting! Not to worry, I thought. I'll just uninstall & reinstall Skyrim - that'll fix it, I thought. Nope. s***... Righto - that bloody-well does it! Uninstall, then manually delete, All Things Skyrim. The Stukas dive, the shell-casings fall, Wagner goes medieval! Reinstall Skyrim from scratch, manually reapply all wanted mods, copy in clean saves from the other machine, test, all of which takes several hours. IT WORKS! YAY! The wine flows, the satyrs cavort, Beethoven's 6th works its magic, and all the winged ponies are happy - even the little black one! *Whew* I'd really like to know if there's an idiot-proof way to easily and safely try out some ENB-style lighting goodies without me having to resort to Stukas and Wagner and death-from-above?
