Anyway, As for traveling to the past, assuming I have the ability to speak the language, I would love to visit the Egyptians as the pyramids were being stuck together, the Romans when they were at their technological height, or see the Great Wall be built. Vagrant0 Posted July 30, 2008 Share Posted July 30, 2008 If I was trying to stay out of the way of history, I'd probably go back to around the late 1890s or early 1900s, it was just an age of frontiers, where one could live life free, from one day to the next. The great war hadn't started yet, colonialism was dying, and anyone with some education could make a fair living. If I didn't give a damn about preserving history, that would be a different story. I'd tell the Native Americans about demons which came from the sea, teach them how to build simple machines, create black powder, build roads, and prepare defences in those places where white settlers would arrive from, and get them situated with enough technology to make them the dominant force. Ah when I was younger I thought like you, but now I am older, I realise no words can open eyes..Bards pass like the gentle breeze on a spring day, they lay their wares, their songs, their poems, their prose, and their pearls, and time shows, and ages and lifetimes show them that nothing opens eyes but ones own soul..The pull of the worlds materialism, and I will have time tmr, and the running about going nowhere is the times, we are in..People fear the loss of comfort and support and acceptance of those arround them..to fly with their souls, to high of a risk and price, comes, that not even twin souls can take, then who can..So the Bard just passes like the breeze and hope that someone smells the flowers, and takes them in their heart..Thank you for you words, and your respect..Now we better get back on topic before the moderators rightfully so, fly down upon us..
