HouseAtlantic
about that.. I'm sure they are not worrying about it, they're cool, if these last few comments have not provoked more than a slight inconvenience then the problem wouldn't be us going off-topic. Why else would you go back in time, to stay the same? no, to change and that brings me to this point, some people do not have the will to really change things until some incident of some kind effects them directly, sometimes any kind, sometimes we think little of change because the only thing that has "worked" is following along with or sticking to what we know, change can be bad, good or both but it is one and the same and unavoidable. your reply I appreciate and it is a breath of fresh air

Aye I know a near death experience in this life changed me, and also made me aware..of why I was here...but if you change yet the one you love does not out of fear, yet loves you so, yet is afraid to love you..Fear, becomes greater than love, and in this lifetime it is the saddest thing I have ever witnessed, Which is why I wrote what I did in the first place..I would change what happened to us then, and be born at the right place and time, for her words were to me, if only I had met you first..For some of us, like me, I risk all for what i love, I risk losing all, including the acceptance of the world family or friends, i do not need it, or the worlds money, things or approval,, there is no price upon me soul, and i have suffered great consequences for that choice..But to see your twin soul , who loves you as much as you do her, choose fear over love..A teardrop falls from the stars, upon barren gound..and even the winged ones weep. You are also a breath of fresh air..Thanks for engaging in a meaningful conversation.. HouseAtlantic
I have known many people to have changed their minds from a traumatic experience. friends and family are the most important things to me, a few of mine will never have the chance to make things right due to these traumatic experiences.. I wake up every morning trying to appreciate the people and things i have in the world right front of me, rather than chasing something that could be not what i expected, or to build myself around one thing, such as love. therefore i find myself defending others' feelings, aspirations, love and their own well-being in general, while discarding most of these things in myself at every turn. If i were to be looking for one thing in life, it would be time.. a twin soul may be one person.. it also may be everything - as oneif there were to be one thing that i live by, it would be that love is not meant to be chased, compromised, sheltered or hidden - that of any kind. I feel constantly reminded that the person we are all looking for may not be found, after all, if we cannot handle life without this we could not handle losing it once we have found it

May the sun be always at your back, may the road rise to meet you, and may your way be free of stones that trip, but if they do, may that same road rise you up again, and keep you walking..may your journey be ever downhill all the way to your front door.Where a warm fire is there always to greet you..I leave you with one of my favourite Irish closings..Sonas ort agus slainte mhath. Slan go fioll. (Happiness to you, good health, Bye for now.Aeryn
Necromancer G
I would want to go back to japan's waring era. To learn the way of the samurai. To become a true warrior. This thread reminds me of the butterfly effect.

humanbean234
I'd go back to April 1st, 1980, and advise the pilots involved in Operation: Eagle Claw (the failed rescue attempt of US Hostages in Iran) to prepare themselves and their vehicles for the sandstorm. If that mission had succeeded, President Carter would have been hailed as a hero, Reagan wouldn't have won the 1980 election, George Bush Sr. wouldn't have had his turn in office, we wouldn't have George Jr. in office right now, and the entire course of world history over the past three decades would be drastically different. People think the 'Butterfly Effect' is BS? Five kilograms of sand can change the destiny of all humanity. Operation: Eagle Claw is proof of that. Zwor
I would go back in time ten minutes, and tell my past self that going back to the past isn't worth the trouble and that he(I) should just not go back in time. Spell it out w/ me everyone! P-A-R-A-D-O-X!
Michlo
Ah, I love this topic. I've talked with friends about this. Not only would I like to clear up some of the historical "facts" we mostly take as gospel but I would dearly love to see who my ancestors were and what adventures they got up to. I'd also like to be able to definitively prove the hoax of religion(s) but that's another story...... Cheers.
